Sir Kendrick and the Castle of Bel Lione

Sir Kendrick and the Castle of Bel Lione

Sir Kendrick and Sir Duncan, Knights of the Prince, are sent to find a secret group helping the Dark Prince, Lucius, to take over Arrethtrea. They track the Vincero Knights to Lord Ra’s Castle of Bel Lione, where young people are being lured from their homes by Ra’s party-hearty philosophy.

It’s a Christian allegory, where each character and place represents a religious concept (Lucius is Lucifer or Satan; Ra’s Bel Lione—said quickly—becomes Rebellion, the theme of the book). Reading it is like going to a Sunday School class where the doctrine is dressed up in medieval swords and armor. The back of the book has study questions and scripture references. The oddest thing is…it’s an exciting fantasy

Recommended to: Sunday school teachers and other Christians
